How Our Workforce Training Programs Can Help Your NJ Company or Organization
If you are a private-sector employer, the NJ Community College Consortium and its partner colleges can provide you with high-quality instruction to meet virtually all of your workforce training needs.
We can train your current workforce, from single employees to your entire staff. We can also help you find and train skilled workers to fill job openings at your company. It may not be in your best interests at this moment to hire new staff, but you may be forced into it when one of your employees decides to leave. To stop a high employee turnover, you need to know How to tell if an employee is unhappy so you can make the appropriate changes to ensure they don’t leave.
With the exception of specialized customized training grants (see below), these programs cover tuition and other costs for you, your employees and prospective employees-in-training:
This programs recruits, screens and trains unemployed individuals to fill job openings at your manufacturing company. We involve your company from the start. Training is provided in metal fabrication, cnc machining, production technology and mechatronics. If you wish, you can learn more here.
This program, also known as Employability Skills Training, provides training for your incumbent employees in personal computers (Windows OS and Office), PC databases, communications (verbal, written, customer service), mathematics & measurement, English as a second language, Spanish in the workplace, team building and other skill sets. Training-on-Demand recruits and trains unemployed individuals to fill your company’s job openings. The Advanced Manufacturing Training Initiative is an example of training on demand. Learn more
This program recruits, trains and matches the long-term unemployed with businesses that need their skills in seven key industries. Learn more
State Funded Training Grants
We can also help your company complete and file a application for a state-funded training grant with the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development. We provide this service at no cost to you. To learn more, contact us.
